So what's a 4x4 experience?
4x4 (or 4 by 4) can mean anything from driving a hummer at speed, to driving a Land Rover cautiously around a cross country course. The site also includes things like a monster truck driving experience. In short it's zooming and roaring and screeching, powered by four mighty wheels.

How much for a 4 by 4 experience?
Obviously you get what you pay for, with a 4x4. The average price is just over £100 in the UK. For this, you'll get to drive around a hillside, spraying mud as you speed around a course.  It only lasts about half an hour, by which time you'll just be getting the hang of driving these brilliant vehicles.

If you're more of a 4x4 expert, you'll need a more involved 4x4 experience day. You can pick up a day-long course for a couple of hundred pounds, and this will give you a whole lot of experience, as well as a day of 4x4 fun!

So are all 4x4 experience days worth it?

Obviously some are good and some are bad, but you can find our more by researching all the 4x4 experiences available. Do't get hung up on price, but do make sure you're buying the experience you want with the bvehicle you want in the location you want.
